iTunes Library Music

The issue is that when playing your own iPod music via the T. Pain application, the iPod music plays CONSIDERABLY quieter than the built in and down-loadable tracks; which makes it impossible to sing over the audio.
This issue has been tested on multiple iPhones as follows;
iPhone 3G running 3.1.2 and
iPhone 3GS running 3.1.2

The T. Pain application has been removed from the devices and re-added and the issue continues to persist. Both iPhones have been restored to factory default settings and setup as new phones where T. Pain is the only application installed on the devices, less a couple of synced songs and the issue persists.

I realize this feature is newer and was added in an update and may still need to be worked out, but I also feel that this feature is what really makes this application fun.

The reason for this post is to bring this to the attention of the SMULE staff, and to possibly ask for any potential workarounds, or fixes. Thank you for taking the time to read this and keep on making the best iPhone applications available. All of your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

iPhone Tier 2

Same here

I've noticed the same problem. I wasn't aware that the itunes library feature was new, but I guess that would somewhat explain the issue. Please fix this, I really enjoy using this app, but it's disappointing when I try to sing to my own songs, only to remember that I can barely hear them.

Note- I tried increasing the default play volume of a few songs to see if that would make them play louder, but all to no avail. If possible, maybe make a option that let's the user set the volume that their iTunes songs will play at, that way it can be adjusted depending on how loud or soft the song is on it's own.

Rip off?

I really hope the reason the volume on itunes music is so low isn't because you guys want to try to force us to purchase the songs that cost money. This is the only problem I find with this program, however it is a BIG problem.

The iTunes library tracks

The iTunes library tracks being too low in volume is dependent on the volume levels of the songs themselves. I have only noticed two of my library songs being low in volume, the rest are perfectly fine.

Thanks you for the post.

elon, I'm afraid you're wrong there - I've tried it with countless tracks that I KNOW are loud and they are all stupidly quiet. Needs a fix ASAP.
