Can you hear yourself in world view?

Since I understand the world view isn't quite live, is it possible to hear and see your own name performing in world view?

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

Don't know.... but even if this is possible, it has yet to happen over here....

I have always wanted to hear someone close to where I live (I am based out of Hong Kong), but the globe view seems to just pick someone out of random and most of the time it is either someone in the US or Europe. I haven't been able to hear anyone who is located even remotely close to where I live, let alone myself.

I'd like to see a new feature where you can pick a dot on the globe to hear his/her clip or even select the player's name. But with that perhaps the 'heart' button should be disabled to give everyone a fair chance to win 'love'.

And on the web site personally I'd love to see a list of people with the most 'loved' pieces and hear on the web their creations.

Wouldn't that be great? :)

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

Yes you actually can hear one of your uploaded songs in World view.

On like day 3 of owning the Ocarina I was in World View and it landed on "Rift," where I was located on the globe playing a song I had played earlier.

This was when I first realized it wasn't in real time :p

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

I run across myself from time to time.

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

I've heard myself in World view (though sadly I really should practice more :) )

On a similar World-view-ish note, I was watching World View last week and I saw my brother playing in Las Vegas using a phone-name that matched a nickname I knew had to be him. Boy was he surprised when I called him up and asked if he had bought Ocarina and had been just playing it!

One more: for those out there with small children, try showing them World View as a musical mobile of sorts. I mesmerized the 3-month old daughter of a friend the other night with WV! Any videos of such a use would be awesome.

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

Never heard myself in Wold View. How long after you play something does it take before it may actually appear there? I seem to keep pulling up many of the same people, but never heard myself even once. Which might be a good thing, actually!

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

An enhanced world view is coming! The 1.1 update is working its way through the Apple App Store approval process now. :)

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

I have never heard my performances in world view. I have however heard me play tunes that I have never played, under Regional View. I also have heard MY performances that shows as another user. Too bad this is happening. After all the practice I have put into Ocarina, and all to later see my hard work credited to someone else... I love Ocarina though!

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

I have heard myself! But it was one of the first times I had played and my Ocarina was set for auto record so it was horrible! I edited those first few songs and things are better now!

I think the "Region" option allows you to more closely focus the area from which it will select "ocarinists"... since I guess it's not really live (and next you guys are going to be telling me lies about Santa Claus! ), you might have a better chance of hearing yourself that way.

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

You can hear yourself in world tour if you go to "My Melodies" and it will play all the songs you recorded and archived

Re: Can you hear yourself in world view?

So can you?
